Description:

This work is inspired by the myth of Icarus, exploring the tension between ambition and inevitable fall. The act of ricing becomes both a desire for freedom and a confrontation with limits.
Rather than depicting the moment of fall, the piece focuses on the psychological state before, and after- where exhilaration, fear, and consequence coexist. Structural elements and symbolic forms suggest ascent, fragility, and the silent coppapse that follows excess.
The work reflects on human nature: the need to transcend boundaries, even at the risk of destruction. Light and elevation promise liberation, yet they carey the weight of consequence. In this space, flight is not escape.but a passage toward awareness.

Material & Process:

The painting was created on a surface prepared with imitation gold, silver and copper leaf, layered powders and marbled textures, then completed with oil paint.
